Milan striker Klaas-Jan-Huntelaar seems to on his way to the Premier League during this January transfer window.
Huntelaar has had a largely unsuccessful stint in the San Siro so far playing only in a handful of matches. The performances in the matches that he played were also not very convincing. We have hardly seen the lethal hitman that we used to know at Ajax. As a result, he has been linked to a number of clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Arsenal have serious injury problems in the attack with injuries to Van Persie, Walcott and Bentdner. Eduardo is also not in his best me forms. So, Arsenal are eager to bolster their attacking options in the winter to chase their Premier league ambitions.
Manchester United also are beset with injury problems in the back and their forwards like Rooney, Owen and Berbatov have been much less than convincing. They'd also like to strengthen their attack with an out and out striker.
Personally, I think he'd find it difficult to slot into the floating final third of the Arsenal team. On the other hand, it would be easier for him to work as a designated center forward in the Man U squad.
In any case, he is one of the most likely loan deals to in through this winter as he's striving to find a place in the Dutch national team for this summer's world cup. Let's see where Huntelaar ends up.
