Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic might be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
Vidic was pulled out at the last minute from the squad that lost to Leeds in yesterday's FA Cup 3rd round tie because of a minor injury. Sources from "The Mirror" suggests that this might also have to do something with a possible rift between the Serb and manager Sir Alex Ferguson. This is nothing new for Man U as players like Beckham, Stam, Van Nistelrooy have left because of problems with the manager.
Real Madrid is supposedly preparing a mega bid for the Champions League winner in the summer somewhere around the £20 - £30 million mark. With Pepe on a long-term injury, "Los Blancos" are keen to bolster their defence with a world class signing.
If the deal goes through, it's going to cause a severe dent in the solid Man U defensive armour. Vidic's partner in central defense, Rio Ferdinand has had troubles with injuries in the recent past and frankly, he hasn't been the same player that won the Champions League alongside Vidic in 2008. With Vidic gone, Man U are going to have to look for able replacements which is going to be really difficult.
Palermo's young Danish international Simon Kjær and Everton youngster Jack Rodwell has been touted as possible replacements but it's going to be a tough task for these young men fill in the shoes of the tough Serb.
